Social Security Disability Book CoverWe've written a bit before on Social Security Disability and it is one of our main areas of practice.

We dedicate ourselves to representing our clients to the best of our ability when it comes to making sure their individual rights are represented while filing their SSD claims and during their SSA hearing.

We're proud to announce that our own Stacy Thompson has recently published a book on Social Security Disability cases!

Available through the South Carolina Bar, Ms. Thompson's book will provide a valuable overview of different social security disability case determinations — including an outline of the five-step evaluation process utilized by the Social Security Administration, tips for gathering important information from clients, and advice to help an attorney prepare their client for their SSA hearing.

New to this edition is information on utilizing electronic filing, online appeals, and electronic evidence submission.

Also included in the purchase of this book are relevant sample forms in a user-friendly electronic format, including:

  • Client interview forms
  • Sample fee agreement
  • Authorization to release medical records (HIPAA-compliant)
  • Authorization to release school and attorney records
  • Sample pre-hearing briefs
  • Pre-hearing letter to a client
  • Links to imprtant Social Security Administration forms located on the SSA website
